Mr & Mrs Wrights Purple Wedding Cake

Two of my best friends got married recently and this was the cake I made for them. Chocolate fudge cake inside and sugar flowers on top.  My only regret is that I didn't ignore Holly's request for a small cutting cake and make it BIGGER!

I was tasked with making a cake in the shape of a converse shoe recently for a friends daughters 14th birthday.  For those of you who know me this was a perfect challenge for me.  I decided to opt for the more cartoon effect as I figured there wouldn't be a lot of cake involved in an accurate sized shoe.

Pleated Wedding Cake

You never really appreciate how many potholes there are in the road until you have boot full of wedding cake! This is a very elegant white chocolate pleated wedding cake.  The cake inside is red velvet cake and the sugar flowers are to compliment the brides bouquet.  White roses and blue Agapanthus modeled in a very English country garden fashion.

Charlies Angry Birds Cake

Charlies 7th Birthday Cake! Luke Skywalker Angry Birds.  The black icing looked awesome and very impactful.

Teddy Bear Baptism Cake

My first Baptism cake complete with fondant Teddy and decorative cross.   The top layer has a quilting effect and the bottom stripes. The beads around the borders are also edible sugarpaste and add to the vintage feel.

Panda in a Handbag

I made this cake as a birthday surprise for a friends sister.  Apparently she loves pandas and handbags so here it is, a panda in a handbag!  I even found a use for my new vintage owl mould I found on ebay, I put it on the clasp and painted it gold.

Moroccan Vintage Wedding cake

These are just few of the cakes I have made with handmade sugar craft flowers. I love the vintage look of these cakes mixed with the spots to give a contemporary feel.  Simple yet very effective (that's simple to look at not simple to make!!!)
